2010-2011

SCHOLARSHIP ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

Eligibility:

Trade Schools:  1st year students scholarship is $500.00; if student is still eligible at end of first year, student may then re-apply for a second scholarship.  For trade schools/junior colleges for students enrolled in a construction related course of study.

Four-year colleges:  students eligible for $1,000 scholarship and must be in their 2nd year of a construction-related course of study.

All applications must include the following:  

  • Transcript
  • Letters of recommendation from any of the following:  teacher or other school representative, employer, community or school activity project leader
  • Essay of not more than 350 words outlining what your college experience means to you, what your goals are pertaining to career, community activities and future achievements
  • Thoughts and goals of NAWIC…..see website….nawic.org, nawictucson.org, nawicregion8.org.
  • Completed application form

Deadline:   June 30, 2011  

  (Funds will be available for Fall Semester) upon approval by scholarship committee.
